We are blessed to live in an area where outdoor activities can take place all year long. Many of our clients moved to Florida to take advantage of our weather. As much as Frank Lloyd Wright began to blur the lines of indoor and outdoor spaces, we as landscape architects and designers are charged with creating living spaces beyond the walls of the home.

Our clients come to us with the elements they desire to have included in their outdoor living spaces. Like an architect laying out the rooms of a house, many things need to be considered.
In designing the spaces we must think about the relationship of all elements; sun orientation, views both positive and negative, site constraints, existing conditions, style of the home, function and aesthetics. Our task then is to create a design that takes all the elements and allows them to work in concert with one another that will give our client many hours of enjoyment in their outdoor living space.

Much like the rooms of a home these outdoor spaces have different levels of activity. There are high activity zones such as the pool or playground area, an intermediate space that may include outdoor eating or kitchen area and a more serene space such as garden walks with benches or swing arbors.
