It’s Time For Some Spring Cleaning!

PRUNING Once the temperatures warm up & there are no more signs of frost, you can begin to prune back your plants and clean them up. Be sure not to dig them out of the ground, as most plants will come back with the warmer weather.

FERTILIZING Once the pruning is complete, it’s time to fertilize and feed your plants. By fertilizing your garden, you replenish lost nutrients and ensure that this year’s plants have the food they need to flourish!

REPLACING If you are looking to replace plants, now is the time to do so. Whether the plants did not make it, or you are looking to re-vamp the landscape, be sure to choose the right plant for the right location!

IRRIGATION This is a great time to  make sure your irrigation system is functioning properly. If you are not a current Maintenance client with HNI, routine maintenance and basic repairs will ensure a properly functioning system. Make sure there are no clogs in the filters and emitters and that the water rises high enough to effectively water your plants.

ENJOY! Once your yard is ready for Spring, you can sit back and enjoy your fresh landscape. You can start thinking about adding pollinators, or a vegetable & herb garden. Possibly a shade tree? Or even a piece of art such as a fountain or a bench to sit and relax. If you need help or assistance, give us a call-it is what we do best!
